Jussie Smollett can finally put his legal troubles behind him as the IL Supreme Court reversed his 2021 conviction for staging a hate crime. 

On Tuesday, R. Kelly filed two motions through his lawyer with a judge in Chicago to have either his federal conviction for child pornography and sexual abuse overturned or grant a new trial. Jennifer Bonjean, Kelly's lead attorney wrote in the motion that the prosecution used "perjured testimony" from a clinical psychologist in the case in addition to claiming the government didn't prove fully that the singer abused the minors in question.
