Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends to come together for a feast of great food. However, some holidays are different for some people. Maybe there’s a family who is too busy with life to cook a whole Thanksgiving meal, or they are in the mood for something different to eat.

Thankfully, some restaurants in the Triangle will open their doors on Turkey Day, with many offering traditional holiday meals along with the regular menu. However, to be sure of availability, make sure you call the restaurants ahead of time.

1. Bob Evans

Bob Evans is one of the few restaurants that is open every Thanksgiving, offering special meals and breakfast all day for dine-in, delivery or curbside pickup. 

2. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker Barrel is offering a traditional meal on Thanksgiving Day, and you can either dine-in or order takeaway dinners. 

3. Denny’s

Denny’s will be open on Thanksgiving, but some locations will close early.

4. Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

Golden Corral will be open at participating locations. Holiday favorites will be offered, including carved roasted turkey and glazed ham. 

5. Maggiano’s

Maggiano’s will be open for dine-in, ordering ahead, and carry-out. 

6. Ruth’s Chris Steak House

Ruth’s Chris will be open on Thanksgiving, with some locations offering a special Thanksgiving menu. 

7. IHOP

IHOP will be open, but it is recommended to call ahead for specific hours. A homestyle turkey and stuffing dinner is offered among its fall menu items. 

8. Waffle House

Waffle House will be open on Thanksgiving at most locations. Hours may vary by location, but many are 24 hours.Â
