It’s time for the 19th Annual Student Art Poster Contest hosted by the Morrisville Environment & Stormwater Committee! The theme is, ‘Water You Know About H2O?’ which aims to highlight the preservation of this natural resource, including water conservation and improving water quality.

Please find links to resources including the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality ‘Water Conservation’ and Water Conservation Tips that can be used in the classroom discussion, if appropriate. You can also integrate ‘Walter the Raindrop’ for a water cycle book and lesson plans through the Clean Water Education Partnership.

All children who live in Morrisville and/or attend private or public schools in Morrisville, grades K- 5 are eligible to participate, as well as those that belong to youth or volunteer organizations in Morrisville, such as Dedicated to Our Community, Scouts organizations, etc.

The winning poster will be transformed into a banner and prominently displayed along with previous winners, on Morrisville’s Town Hall Drive right after the winter holidays. The grand prize winner will receive a prize package and the first place winners for each grade level will be invited to receive recognition by Town Council. Individual winners placing first, second and third in each grade will also receive an award certificate, ribbon, and a special gift bag.

Original artwork is due by Friday, October 18, at 5 p.m., to Morrisville Town Hall, 100 Town Hall Drive.
