Gov. McCrory Adresses Teacher Pay Issue

It’s the first day of school for traditional calendar students in districts all over the state. A shortage of teachers in Wake County Schools exist with at least 100 open teaching positions. Classrooms without a teacher will have a substitute teacher or the principal will work something out with the school’s staff. This gap in teacher staffing comes after a summer of trying to gauge how lawmakers will fund the district when it comes to teacher pay.
