North Carolina advances to its first Sweet 16 since 2012 defeating Arkansas 87-78. Coach Roy Williams hit two important milestones, he became the 15th coach in NCAA Division I to win his 750th game, and increased his record to 65-22, tying the late Dean Smith.

This is the first time in a decade three Triangle men’s basketball teams head to the Sweet 16. North Carolina faces No. 1 seed Wisconsin on Thursday evening at 7:47 p.m. on TBS. The Wolfpack is scheduled to tip at 7:37 p.m. on TBS against Louisville. The Blue Devils will play Utah following the NC State Louisville game at about 9:45 p.m. on CBS.
