Watch Out For Gift Card Scam In The Charlotte Area

Scammers never sleep.

The latest scam making the rounds involves gift cards. People in the Charlotte area have been receiving postcards offering $100 gift cards from Wal-mart or Target. To receive the gift cards, people are encouraged to pay a shipping fee by providing their credit card info. Of course, the scammer takes your credit card info and has a field day.

If you receive something in the mail that sounds like this scam, DON’T GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. Call 1-877-5-NO-SCAM to report the solicitation.
