William Michael Griffin Jr. known by his stage name Rakim, one half of Ol’Skool hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim is one of the most influential and most skilled MCs of all time. Rakim has always been praised for his lyrical content and flow and became involved in hip-hop at the age of 18.
Eric B. & Rakim’s classic album Paid in Full was named the greatest hip hop album of all time by MTV in 2006. You want to get a party started throw Eric B and Rakim on the turntable. The rap duo Eric B. & Rakim were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. The Source ranked Rakim #1 on their list of the Top 50 Lyricists of All Time in 2012.
