Akon Banned From Performing In Melbourne, Australia
Akon fans in Melbourne, Australia won’t get a chance to see the star perform when the Summerbeatz 2010 tour rolls into their hometown because of a past incident at an Akon show.
Tour organizer Dwayne Cross says that Akon has been banned from performing at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena after an incident at a different arena in 2009 in which Akon jumped into the crowd to break up a fight.
All other performers on the bill, which include Ciara, Soulja Boy, Flo Rida, Jay Sean and Stan Walker, have been cleared to perform in Melbourne.
Akon will perform on the tour’s other stops which include Brisbane, Sydney and Perth.
